Without doubt college football fans are some of the goofiest most distasteful people I've ever met.
College football fans from New Jersey are just about beyond words.....

I went to the first Rutgers game this year against Buffalo. I was there with my wife and kids, and made the mistake of sitting in the student section. Before the 1st quarter was over, we had moved away, but it is, regretfully, hard to get away from people using foul language around children.
Its not just Rutgers either. I ran into the same problem when I brought my son to a NJ Devil's game.
The offenders always fit the same profile:
Twentysomethings who are drunk off their arses.
More anecdotal evidence that the coarsening of our culture is all too real.

Aw c'mon...we hardly even HAD college football in NJ until recently (other than the first ever college football game played--between Rutgers and Princeton on November 6, 1869). At any rate, the Gator fans are no better, the Dawgs fans are no better, the Buckeye fans, and on and on.
For my money, nothing's worse than Jets fans.

Without doubt college football fans are some of the goofiest most distasteful people I've ever met.Still, the soccer/futbol fans in Europe put fans here in America to shame.
