It wasn’t the sale of I-Phones that were slow but the AT&T activations that have lagged dramatically.
Evidently, a lot of people bought the phone not for the phone but the other features....
Perhaps they are waiting for it to be unlocked to use other carriers....
Later in September, Apple releases iPod Touch which is the iPhone without the phone part. I think this is what you were mentioing.
The ones we’re getting for our office aren’t going to be “new account activations”. We’re going to be transferring our SIM cards over and our rate plans will change.
The funny thing about unlocking the iPhone is that you can physically only use the iPhone on AT&T or T-mobile in the US. They’re the only people with compatible network freqencies - and T-mobile sucks worse than AT&T does.
