A fast food chains racy new advertising campaign has left at least one teachers organization demanding it be pulled.
The ad for St. Louis, Missouri-based Hardees Corporation features a sexy teacher, making provocative moves in front of the class while two students rap to a song called "Flat Buns, according to a report on myFOXstl.com.
"How irresponsible can you get? said the Tennessee Education Association in a statement on their website. At this very moment, there are female teachers in high school classrooms with 30+ students who are working hard to teach our children so that they can compete in today's world. It is unbelievably demeaning to every one of them to promote a television advertisement showing a young teacher gyrating on top of her desk while boys in the class rap about her body in order to sell hamburgers!"
Hardees claims the ad is obviously a spoof, pointing out that the target demographic for the ad is young men who find this type of ad campaign appealing.
The fast-food chain courted controversy before with a provocative hamburger ad featuring Paris Hilton.

I remember you from a few of the smoking threads. Nice to see that you are at least an equal opportunity health cop. You don’t discriminate. At least you are consistent.
Lack of taste?
I don’t know anything about that, I haven’t eaten that Patty Melt.
Ouch!
Carl Karcher who founded the chain of burger restaurants is a lifelong conservative. I remember during the heyday of the anti-war movement of the early 70's the burger joints would give away U.S. flag window things to whoever wanted them. I don't think he'd approve of the advert.
Never said you were. You could be a 20 year old college junior for all I know. I was just pointing out that the commercials are targeted to a particular demographic.
The more it pisses off scolds the more popular the burger will be. You can’t buy this kind of advertising. Fox News story?!
Just ask the folks over at the Heart Attack Grill in Arizona. Business boomed when the nurse association complained.
Does he still own the company or since it was purchased by Hardees, does he just retain a lot of shares and sit on the board?
Wow, big news flash! Film at 10!
Cop outter. LOL. Actually, I do have a problem with it. For the reasons I stated earlier. People that know me know I am no prude. This is national advertising.
The restaurant that has the nurses and the killer cholesterol burgers is fine. I doubt many kids go in there.
I just think it is a bad ad in light of the teacher scandals going on anymore. Its really not funny and it isn’t cute. I have no doubt the guys like it and I can see why.
This really divides us into two groups: we’re either stuck with the NOW nags and the NEA, or with debasing libertine social elements. (I don’t have to tell you which side I am on. Keep those hags away from me, I’ll be “tasteless” and happy that way.)
Point being — nobody here has claim to this issue free from liberal influence.
.....and it was by no means "a few of the smoking threads".
It was one thread, I was bored, and I had a full bottle of scotch at the time.
I'm sure that wasn't always the case. Merger/acquisition?
Years ago, when I went to one of each on either coast in a short period of time, there was no resemblance between them.
Those pix are an in-your-face bitchslap to the muzzies.
Every smokin hot babe in these pix is an insult to the Islamofascists and I say bring it on!
The hezziemuzzies hate, despise, and fear women (just as the gays do).
Well, I DON’T!
;^)
Has the Tennessee Education Association ever posted ANYTHING in regard to all the female teachers carring on with their male students?
If not, they ought to be mocked for this posting.
You know what?
GOOD.
Am I the only one getting really, really tired of every group in American whining?
(especially unions)
Just remember Barry Goldwaters' warning: "The Government that is big enough to give you everything you need, is big in enough to take away everything you have."
The USSR banned vodka in 1986. The socialists will take away your scotch for your own good. FRegards.
Conservative girls have midriffs too.
That’s the PC environment that we have created.
If it offends someone...whether it be street noise, perfume...just form a PAC, sue the bastards and enact change.
The face of a human Barbie doll. Not to mention a raving nympho.
