Hey, from your keyboard to Shanahan's playbook!!

Although after our preseason of not being able to stop anybody on third down, I'm concerned we're going to have the most hyped defense of under-achievers. I'm hoping Lynch was right when he said they've only been playing base defense and have yet to take it to full speed.

Do they think they have enough room down by the water for a new ballpark?

The only thing to evaluate in the pre season are individual performances. This week is when we finally get to see the real deal.

A week ago I ordered a A J Hawk Green Bay Packers jersey and it arrived today. Wow. It looks great. It’s the first NFL jersey I’ve eer bought. Hopefully A J Hawk will kill his wife or shoot any dogs.

I’m just not getting to hoopla about Dallas going to the super bowl. But the NFC is so balanced or average that anyone of 5 or 6 teams could make it to the super bowl.

Huge fantasy implications in tonight’s game, as I have Drew Brees and my Week 1 opponent has Peyton Manning. I’m still wondering if I should snag the Miami defense in a trade in my league this year...

(Cue Terpfen) :)

The Marlins came up with a plan, somehow. I forget the details, and Google isn’t telling me anything, but I think they wanted it a few blocks south of the Triple-A as the centerpiece of a commercial district to help the city with tax revenue.

If you’re in the FR league, I’ve got the Miami and Oakland defenses. I’m looking for WR help.

I’m not in that league actually, but currently I have the Dallas D and I was looking to upgrade, possibly for bye week purposes.

Ouch. Sucks for that potential deal. I’d have done a straight trade, Oakland defense for Dallas defense, or for a 3rd WR. (I’ve got Mike Furrey. Good, but Calvin Johnson is going to steal touches from him.)

Happy FOOTBALL!

Is that QB in GB still there...ya know, durn, what WAS his name???

I’m a huge Bear Fan...but realistically...I can’t see them beating the BOlts..

Bolts 41
Bears 3

Rex will be the MVP for SanDiego this game, Cedric Benson won’t gain over 50 yards.

Rex Grossman is a disaster waiting to happen.

I am a lifetime Bears fan also, but I don't think it will be as dire as you think. The Bears D will probably fold towards the end, but I think the Bears will give the Bolts a good game. If the Bears D can get to Rivers at all, they even have a shot to win it. San Diego's D isn't as good as the Colts and the Bears have excellent run defense. Another plus, the Bears D is VERY motivated after that Nike commercial. They are going to put a lick on LT.

I think it will be interesting to watch. Definately not a gimme for the Bolts.

Mellonhead Cougarcamp is laughing all the way to the bank. He gets the crowd to groove on the refrain line “hey, that’s me” not realizing they’re getting trash-talked in each and every stanza.

LOL

You know, I lived through some pretty lean years with the Bears. I was AT the game that Gayle Sayers made the Brian Piccolo speech when I was a kid. I watched the White Sox through the 60's and 70's continuously snatch defeat from the Jaws of victory. But after the Sox won it all in 2005, I believe that miracles can happen. The Bears have managed to win more than other Chicago teams and have been fairly decent lately. Whatever may happen, I don't think they will p*ss all over themselves at San Diego.

The Bears have a secret weapon in this game that will help them against all the odds: Norv Turner. :)

As a guy who has LT in a keeper league, I'm hoping you're wrong. As a Viking fan, I'm hoping you're REALLY wrong.

But as a Viking fan, I'm also a realist. My team sucks and I'll get my jollies through the misfortunes of others. Again. :)

My son is playing fantasy football for the first time this fall I'm more nervous for him than for my own team!
