* Indicates the sense illustrated in the example sentence.
Example sentence:
Mr. Richardson was a benign man and an excellent teacher, and the children loved and trusted him instinctively.

Good piece. And a far sight better than the whiney drivel I read yesterday. The Hampton Roads paper was bemoaning the fact that schools in Virginia have to wait until after labor day to start.
a girl was fired after one day of employment by the OH dem party, bc they found out that years ago, when in her first semester of her freshman year she wrote a letter to the editor opposing racially SEGREGATED dorms. what she was objecting to, was all African American floors in dorms.

Well, last Wednesday the word was berate, this wedesday it’s benign, so she is probably just a couple of weeks early with her submittal.
The part I was interested in was where Ted Strickland, my lame govenor, said something about Obama not being the kind of face we like seeing around the union table...
