Most pit bulls I’ve seen were *very* hostile, except to the ONE person they identified as their owner.
We live near Fort Hood, Texas and when there was/is a major deployment we always had/have an increase in our dog population since the soldiers probably felt/feel the dogs had a better chance of finding a home than surviving at a local animal ‘shelter’.
We have had many different breeds over the years and only had to get rid of three due to bad behavior toward people or other dogs.
This ‘Dog Hater’ DOES NOT ACCCEPT PIT BULLS AS RESIDENTS for the safety of my grandkids and other dogs. You do not know when they will snap.
BTW, if you are worrying about the many dogs at one time, we live on 250 acres of wooded land and have a five acre ‘house’ yard. The dogs do not need to be chained or fenced. They are trained to not follow the cars past our front gate. They also have very cozy spots in my 1200 square foot shop to protect them from the weather. They would find it most difficult to adapt to city life.
Sorry... My previous post was menat for ‘Meandog’...
Ours was not. She was truely a mush. Loved everyone. So, you have just not met the right dogs. Perhaps you should enlarge your circle of friends!

I have yet to meet a human aggressive “pitbull”...and I live in Los Angeles. I have seen dog aggressive dogs, but no human aggressive.
My neighbors chow....bit her 5 year olds face....47 stitches....should we kill all chows?
