Note to Arizonans: Coyotes aren't dogs. They are varmints.

The animals were killed after they were trying to snatch white grocery bags from customers

I just got a flyer in my mail box (Greenwood Village, CO) that had an article about how to Live in Peace and Harmony with Coyotes

The potential for harm to kids here is enormous...and folks have no recourse to self-defense, because you cannot discharge a firearm within city limits...not even with a hunting license.

Maybe a slingshot/wrist-rocket?

A coyote came through our back yard two nights ago, which happens fairly frequently. We always alert the neighbors because they have young children, small dogs and cats. We also have two fisher-cats in the yard. Not too many squirrels seem to be around lately.

The animals were killed after they were trying to snatch white grocery bags...

Prolly mistook them for fluffy little white lap dogs.

You know, there was recently an article in the Yuma papers about the rise in the coyote population. I just always assumed they meant the smugglers ;)

Solution: shoot all the people feeding the damn coyotes.

It’ll work, word will get around. ;)

They come into my back yard all the time. I saw one following my neighbor's kids home last month. They were on their 4 wheelers and that didn't even scare them. One of them has recently had a litter of pups. The mother is teaching them to hunt because they come right in behind my house at night, and I can hear them yapping. They sound just like puppies.

I hate to shoot them when they're little. I'd rather murder them when they're grown. LOL j/k As long as they don't bother me, I will leave them alone. When you live out in the country, you have to share it with wild life and lots of rattlesnakes. I always make sure there are no coyotes around when I come in with groceries. They have a keen sense of smell and could probably smell any kind of meat in my bags.

My daughter lives at Ft. Bragg...her cat got out she couldn’t find her. I told my daughter after a few days that she’d been killed. A soldier was running with his dog and found only a small part of her cat [her head and a little of her neck...he pulled her collar off and called by daughter]. She was eaten by coyotes....
