cream always rises to the top.
I wasn't aware Yankees fans had lowered their expectations so much.
Speaking of Yankees, has A-Rod and Jeeter gotten married yet?
Actually that foot tapping you heard was coming from the Yankee bathroom.
Yankees last gasp was yesterday. Its downhill from here.
NFL!
"Put the beer down and step away from the computer."
The Curse will continue.
Um, 2004?
The Curse ended in ‘04.
The Bambino Curse ended in ‘04. The Hillary Curse lives.
Dear Free Republic Yankee Fans:
I am as excited as you that our beloved pinstripes are
making another run for the playoffs. As a lifelong Yankee
Fan, I hope to be throwing out the first pitch at Yankee
Stadium when we play in the World Series this October.
It will be as thrilling as when we beat the Diamondbacks
to win it all in 2001, and when Roger Clemens beat
Josh Becket to give us the 2003 World Championship
over the Marlins.
With players like Alex Posada, Mark Mussina, and
Mariano Giambi, how can we go wrong? I am so looking
forward to seeing you at The Stadium this fall and hope
you will consider giving to my campaign as I attempt
to become the first female President of the United
States. When I take the Oath of Office in January of
2009, I’ll be sure to wear my Yankee cap!
Yours in the Yanks,
Hillary Rob’Em Clinton
You've got me there. That series really did hurt, though. It hurt so much in fact that I wrote this little song (to the tune of "New York, New York"):
Start spreadin' the blues,
We're bleedin' today.
Don't want to be a part of it:
New York, New York
There goes J.D. Drew,
He's counting his pay.
Can't even get our stars to hit -
In New York, New York.
I want to wake up back in Boston;
I can't sleep.
When I see Rog on the hill;
Man, I hate that creep.
Our OBP stats
Are melting away,
If we could only score a run
In old New York
Can Coco hit his IQ (dunce)?
If Manny could play hurt for once,
Perhaps we'd beat New York, New York.
To bad the Yankees still suck.
Go Mariners.
good stuff!
Didn’t hurt as much as the five game drubbing they gave us.
I hope Seattle roars past them to get the wild card.
>>There goes J.D. Drew,
He’s counting his pay.
We’re stuck with him, sadly.
