Ava was rushed to the ER tonight. We just left her there. She is being transferred to a bigger hospital with pediatric surgeons for evaluation. We spent some seven hours there with her and her parents waiting for test results. She was playing in her little pool and just started screaming and screaming. She had a sudden pain in her abdomen. They ruled out everything else but a bowel problem (can’t for the life of me say the exact name). I knew the minute I saw her that she was going to fail the look test......she had a PA and a doctor coming in and out of her room all night. Her poor mom is 37 weeks along, having Braxton Hicks contractions and exhausted. Mom was dozing and Ava was still chattering away. I think Ava is afraid to sleep because when she did doze off the nurse showed up with another suppository for her fever. She doesn't like the IV much either, poor thing. Gees, what a night.

I would appreciate some prayers for her. Thanks.

Oh, we hit a deer on the highway coming home. What a night.

Oh my goodness hon, just saw this!

Could she have swallowed something????

Jellybean is forever putting things in her mouth...still doing this at over 2-1/2.

When she was Ava's age, she almost swallowed a penny....and another time her mom actually retrieved half of a bug from her mouth.

Her little friend at church (same age) swallowed a nickel the other day.

Prayers indeed....
