An illegal immigrant wanted in a hit-and-run crash that killed a 17-year-old Port Washington boy has been arrested in Ohio, the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Department reported today.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers arrested Eddie Carbajal-Lile in Brown County, Ohio, after identifying him through a fingerprint check. Carbajal-Lile was using an alias at the time.
Carbajal-Lile was transferred later Thursday to the Boone County Jail in Kentucky, according to a Sheboygan Sheriff's press release.
A dispatcher at the Brown County, Ohio, Sheriff's Department said Carbajal-Lile was arrested late Wednesday or early Thursday and spent the night at the county jail.
No other details on Carbajal-Lile's arrest are available.
A warrant for Carbajal-Lile's arrest was issued Aug. 16 in connection with a crash that occurred Aug. 14 at state Highway 32 and county Highway V in Sheboygan County. The crash resulted in the death of Paul Watry, 17, of Port Washington. Two other people in the car in which Watry was a passenger were also injured.
A criminal complaint charging Carbajal-Lile with hit-and-run resulting in death indicates that he consumed five or six beers before the crash.
Sheboygan County Sheriff's Capt. David L. Adams said Carbajal-Lile will be extradited to Wisconsin.

This was all such a waste. The people who let him out after his previous run ins with the law should lose their jobs over this.

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY - The suspect in a fatal hit and run crash has been captured. The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department says they were notified by the Immigration Customs Enforcement that Carbajal-Lile was in custody in Brown County, Ohio.
Authorities say Carbajal-Lile was arrested in Ohio on unrelated charges after he was driving a car to help another guy accused of making harassing phone calls. He was arrested under the false name Ricardo Ibanez-Crisanto. When authorities fingerprinted him, they realized he was wanted for the fatal hit and run in Wisconsin and called Immigration Customs Enforcement officials.
The Immigration Customs Enforcement officials then transferred Carbajal-Lile to a jail in Kentucky.
Carbajal-Lile is the suspect in an Aug. 14 hit and run crash that killed 17-year-old Paul Watry of Port Washington and injured 18-year-old Scot Mueller of Port Washington and 18-year-old Jillian Fitzmaurice of Oostburg.
The accident happened at the intersection of state Highway 32 and county Highway V in the Town of Lima.
Instead of helping the injured teens, authorities say Carbajal-Lile grabbed his cell phone out of his car and took off by foot.
Authorities say Carbajal-Lile has previously been convicted of operating while under the influence and operating without a license. They say they believe Carbajal-Lile was drinking on the night of the crash.
TODAY’S TMJ4’s Mick Trevey talked to Paul Watry’s family Thursday afternoon and they have heard about the arrest.
Sheboygan Police say they are relieved by the arrest.
“It’s wonderful to have a conclusion to this tragic accident. It’s nice at least for the families that they get a sense of justice. This man will have his day in court and will have to face charges,” Lt. Jim Risseeuw of the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department said.
Authorities say arrangements are being made by the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department to bring Carbajal-Lile back to Sheboygan County to make his court appearance. They say there is more paperwork to be completed before they can drive to Kentucky and pick up Carbajal-Lile.

Sure would save a lot of time.
They know that they are being watched for going south, there are so damn many of them they can hide among the millions, and since 90% of the cops have been nurtured, when it comes to talking to an illegal, well catching one is mostly a flute.
