COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — An elementary school has banned tag on its playground after some children complained they were harassed or chased against their will.

"It causes a lot of conflict on the playground," said Cindy Fesgen, assistant principal of the Discovery Canyon Campus school.

Running games are still allowed as long as students don't chase each other, she said.

Running games are still allowed as long as students don't chase each other

Do the kids have to run side by side or in opposite directions only? What if the kids start running side by side and one kid is faster? The slower kid will look like he's chasing the faster one. That could cause some hurt feelings. Soon I predict they'll do away with running, then walking, then recess altogether.

Do these people realize what such behavior does to their credit ratings?

helped reduce playground squabbles.

Yeah, I believe that too. Sure I do (rolling eyes) As long as there’s kids, there’s going to be playground squabbles.

Is it too late to sue?? Because my childhood friend Linda always ran a lot faster than I did and she was way shorter. Not fair!
And I lost at tag in fourth grade. I’ve never forgotten. sob. It’s ruined my life.

Perfect. Then little boys will become more restless & will need more drugs to subdue them and the obesity levels will rise & the schools will need more money to study the reasons why. Our world's gone insane.

Eleven-Year-Old Used As Human Shield In Dodgeball Game
SPARTANBURG, SC—The U.N. is condemning the actions of Spartanburg fifth-grader Joshua Fife, who on Monday violated the terms of the 1949 Geneva Convention by using classmate Doug Wiersbicki as a human shield during a gym-class dodgeball game. "The terms of civilian protection, as outlined in the Geneva Convention, were clearly violated by Fife's placement of Wiersbicki in the direct line of heavy dodgeball fire," U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan said. "Whether in Kosovo or Mr. Brundage's gym class, the use of innocents as human shields must not be tolerated."

Don’t you feel bad now that you’ve messed up MotleyGirl70’s day?? Dang, be a little more considerate by trying a little harder to get that perfection thing down, would ya?? jk ;^)

I’m glad I’m not in grade school anymore. They’re slowly taking all the fun out of being a kid! I hate to see what it will be like in a few more years if things go on as they are.

A sad situation that is happening in other areas as well. They make where they live unlivable then move and start the process all over again.

I don't think "Tag" is appropriate for elementary school kids. "Tag body sprays for men are uniquely designed to attract the ladies."
