Do tell me how condoms stop hand transmission of STDs to the nose after touching a sore while putting on or taking off a condom. Untold numbers uninformed while some "medical professions" do know. How much suffering and money made at their expense?

Oral-genital and HAND-GENITAL transmission of some genital HPV types is possible and has been reported according to the Am. Cancer Society site.

"Cancers of the head and neck, which include cancers of the larynx, NASAL PASSAGES/NOSE, oral cavity, pharynx and salivary glands." Not cute after that! 8-(

There are at least two problems I see with the alleged connection of HPV with oropharyngeal cancer. First, the HPV virus is ubiquitous and such cancers are very rare. Second, the prevalence of HPV is approximately the same in men and women, yet the rise in oropharyngeal cancer is seen only in men. Clearly, there must be some unstated co-factors involved.

Transmission of pathogens through friction-induced microscopic wounds on the delicate genital skin, during sex, is all that condoms can hinder, and NOT completely rule out.

The genitalia-to-hand mode of transmission should indeed have a good probability. People who rely on condoms during sex with multiple partners from a general population, and haven’t yet contracted a fatal illness, can count themselves lucky. Monogamy immensely reduces the chances of contracting a deadly STD, simply because of the drastic reduction of the applicable population, to just one partner. With monogamy, the risk is of that one person having the disease or not. With polygamy, it’s the same, multiplied several times over.

Like the Russian Roulette, take enough tries, and eventually that weapon is going go off.
