Walk down memory lane when there's nothing in the news

Pink said to me recently, we've come a long way. So that set me reminiscing...

Who among us can forget that day in January when Girlene asked to be added to the Haditha Marine Ping List?

Or when lilycicero wondered what "ping" and "BTTT" meant (but hoped they were crude)?

Or when pinkpanther111 showed up and helped us find biographical material, or when she spread the word about the defense fund here and here?

All that got me thinking about some of our "firsts".

Like the first defense fund thread.

And the first posts by Darryl, Theresa (on our totally fun "A Haditha Marine Father Has a Question for Alan Colmes" thread), and Mrs W.

So I agree with pink (want to see her first post ever?), we have come a long way. And it's about time we said so! Also, with the SSgt Wuterich hearing coming up, I figured we could use a thread to just hang out when nothing else is happening. It beats FRmail--which sometimes gets a little hard to follow.

So here's to us and to seeing an end to this job we started!

Speaking of walking down Memory Lane, how about that old Mr. Chatterbox? In this post he seemed to be making some moves. But if I go look for any of his postings now, he's nothing but a purple screen

Mr. Chatterbox freaked me out. I was still “afraid” of predators on FR and I got some crazy stalker from KS named Mr. Chatterbox. I went running scared to RR.

I’ve ruined the kids with MST3k. They have memorized “Day at the Farm” part 2.

Example: “A kitten is drinking his milk from a saucer”.

MST3k says: “But he wishes he had a straw instead”.

Are we just going to post stupid stuff all day out of nervous energy for THURSDAY? Just wondering, because I can.

I think I finally figured out why I've doubled posted. Sometimes I preview and hit post but the screen goes back to the preview mode again. Weird. So I hit post...

They are the most narrow-minded, mean-spirited, self-aggrandizing, intolerant people I have ever encountered. I can only survive by laughing at them behind their backs (well, sometimes in front of their backs, too).

Sounds familiar....they suck.
