Retarded Doberman

Posted on 08/25/2007 8:51:48 PM PDT by OSHA

My stepson asked if he could have a pit bull. I told him the pit bull would be nice for target pratice. He then wanted a Rotweiler. I said no. So his grandparents bought him a Doberman puppy for his birthday. Named "Ranger" he soon won me over.

You are smart to have avoided pits. My nephew has one, and I will longer go to his house even to visit with my other nephews. My nephew think it is not a dangerous dog. It was jumping on me once and told him to get down. He stood back and snarled at me with intense eyes, and he sounded exactly like the Rabid Kojo on the prowl. I thought he was going to come at me...and I tried to tell my younger nephew(Not the one who’s dog it is to grab the dog so I could get away. He tried but the Dog snapped at him and almost bit him too. He then let go and told me he was afraid of the dog too. their mother finally grabbed the dog, and I have never been back since. My younger nephew has asked me to stop by. I say sorry-no can do. Blame your older brother. The first time you get them mad then look out.
Then there was this lady who lives out in the woods and has foxes and other wild animals living in her house. So she is just kooky about animals. She was there once and she saw the dog and looked in its eyes. She then told my brother to get the dog away from her because it was and evil dog. These dogs have an instinct that is just waiting for a reason to come out. That instinct is to kill. Don’t mess with it.

Kids get loose, too. My oldest granddaughter escaped several times. She takes after her mommy.

Animals are very therapeutic. Right now, I have an Ewok kitty on my lap, and a siamese looking to kick him off my lap, and take his place :)

You kick meth, you deserve a reward. Never underestimate that drug. It’s worse than smack....

You lead such a sheltered life. I have a big ole GS breathing on me, trying to get my french fries. :)

Dob’s BTW are in the same category - they are working guard dogs and cannot be around children.

No flames, Ed. Please me something that backs that statement up because everything I've read about the Doberman points to the opposite.

Taking possesion or owning a dog is serious, A 15-20 year commitment in feeding, medical bills and other preventive measures. If your stepson is 20 or so and is thinking of joining the military, how could he possibly take care of a dog. Dog ownership is not a fashion statement

OK You got me. I don't really have a step-son. If I had one, he wouldn't have a meth problem. I would tell him to go fishing for catfish for a living and leave the dog that he doesn't have at home. (And if he did I wouldn't let him have a dog. And if his Gramma and Grandpa bought one from him anyway I would kill them so I wouldn't be embarrassing to you.

As a matter of fact, I been thinking of ditching the Mom, the boy(that I don't have), his Gramma and Grampa, the fashion statement dog and all the rest and taking up with a sweet mud head cat that I caught. Do you find that the whiskers are tickley in bed?

Have you ever thought about taking your son to a barber and making him get his hair cut, or is he to old for that?

He'll be 20 next month. He knows that he has to get a haircut, and get rid of his mutton chop side burns. He does look like a young Jim Morrison though. Too bad he sold his guitar a couple of years ago to cover rent....

I also have an adult problem child, I might even have to file charges on her, not a very entertaining thought.

Hahahaha! Boo is safely tucked away in his yard :)

You haven’t lived until you have to fight off a kitten for your food. Ewok is such a beggar!

Pardon me whilst I go strangle the GS. She’s barking at my grandson. And barking. And barking. And barking. And barking. You know. :)

And you’re right..........I’ve NEVER fought off my food w/a kitten.!

Of course owning an animal is a lifetime commitment. This is why we didn’t take a couple of chickens. It’s hard enough dealing with a 200lb dog, and three cats. Not to mention a very large blended family, LOL!

Now all we need is to realize that the doctors lied, and I come up pregnant :)

I have 4 dogs and 2 cats, 3 dogs are over 10 years old, when they die or have to be put down, it is very hard. I have done it and it still brings a tear to my eye. I will say again, pet ownership is not a fashion statement.

Bwaaahhhahahaha! ROTFLOL!

Nevermind the whiskers, the teeth and claws are a bitch, when you're trying to sleep. Cats all over me. I really hate it when the cats try and smother me....

I’ve been there. He supposedly moved out, and his father ditched him back up here. Step Monster filed a fraudulent restraining order on him for his 18th birthday. That doesn’t help finding a job. Neither does having to drop out of school, because you’re sleeping in your car.

Besides getting hit by a car, which literally knocked him out of his shoes, he was really sick with the flu as a two yr old. We were all sick, and it was Christmas. Hindsight is 20/20. Should have called an ambulance.

What really makes me cranky is that Mr. Owl’s oldest daughter brought her new bf up to visit for the weekend. My son has taken it upon his self to basically make this unpleasant. Her new bf is in the Navy, and probably thinks we all need to be in a mental institution :(

I’m sorry about your daughter. I know how bad it hurts...
