If it's true that Aaron goes tonight, I'll be happy because Aaron is basically Dave Lite.

Good call, it went the way you predicted.

Well, their “grand plan” is now out in the open.

I’m trying to shake some brain cells here but, IIRC, only a very few challenges have been thrown for a “grand plan” and every time it turned out poorly for those that did it.

I’m checking in because I appreciate this thread. By the way FR has been slow lately and really slow tonight. For once it is not my computer because other sites have a normal reaction. Anyway the surroundings are always important to me and I am getting fed up with that yucky lake. It truly makes me want to take a shower. I feel muddy and buggy and itchy from watching this. I hope there is another Survivor in our future and please let us return to the ocean. I do not like those chicks throwing the contest and then triumphantly giggling they cannot believe they got away with it. It may be successful for them but I don't like that scheme.

Challenge-throwing has a very poor record (Sook Jai getting Pagonged after throwing a challenge, Burton getting kicked out after his very own thrown challenge, everyone except Ozzy on the Hispanic tribe on Cook Islands getting voted out quickly after they threw the challenge to get rid of Billy). Etc. The one time it worked very well was when Boran (Africa), led by Ethan, threw the challenge to get rid of Silas and Ethan went on to win the game.

Fun Survivor fact: Burton of Pearl Islands remains the only non-All Star in Survivor history to have been voted out twice. (And he was BLINDSIDED! NICE! NOW THAT’S HOW YOU VOTE SOMEBODY OUT! both times).

Good Morning Folks,

No, this is not your Monday Morning Recap a few days early! And if you haven’t seen last night’s show yet, you might want to stop reading right now.

.

Are you still here?

.

Good!

.

Let me start off by saying that on occasion, I feel like I just have to comment VENT on the show and this is one of those moments.

As the hour progressed last night, I got more and more ticked off. To the point that I just wanted James reach out and smack that smirk off Jamie’s face right there at Tribal Council. And if truth be told, I bet Jeff wished he would have too!

Anyway, if I were playing this game and I were James here is how I would play it.

When we got back to camp, not only would I do ABSOLUTLY nothing to help out, I would do my best to be IMPOSSIBLE to live with. Surly attitude, stomping around camp, throwing thing around, criticizing everything and everyone, addressing both Jamie and Peih-Gee in the most derogatory terms I could get away with. And believe me, being an ex-Sailor, I know some CHOICE derogatory terms!

Then, at the next Reward Challenge, I would make sure that my old tribe knew exactly what Jamie and Peih-Gee pulled resulting in Aaron getting booted. Then I would let Zahn Hu know that they weren’t the only ones that could throw challenges. In fact, as far as I was concerned, Fei Long has already won this Reward Challenge. Because I wasn’t going to do a damn thing to help Zahn Hu win, in fact, I would go out of my way to see to it that Zahn Hu lost.

When Fei Long does win the Reward Challenge, they would of course kidnap me back to their camp, where we would plot our next move. Fei Long would have Sherea and Frosti sit out the challenge, while the rest of the tribe did their best to throw the Immunity Challenge. I would of course do my best to win the Challenge with or without Zahn Hu’s help, single handedly if need be. Then when Fei Long goes to Tribal Council, Sherea would be the next one booted. Hopefully the merge occurs next followed by a Pagonging of the remaining Zahn Hu’s.

Of course, I’m not James, and I’m not playing the game. And since James seems to be an upright player, he probably will not do any of this. Oh well, I can dream.

I’ll be back Monday with the Recap.
Take care,

Morning, Cuz. I had the same reaction as you.

The behavior of PG and whatshername was unbelievably stupid and short-sighted.

Let me see if I understand their logic: They didn't like the two new guys, so they purposely lost the challenge so they could kick one of them out.

James was correct in everything he said to them after the challenge and at the council. He's stuck with a bunch of giggling idiots and he let them know it. I think Jeff sympathizes with him too.

I SO agree with everything you said. While many consider it a strategic move, intentionally throwing a challenge makes me crazy. I do understand why they did it, but personally I hate it. And before anyone says that I don’t like just because it may affect my boy James, I want to say I also didn’t like it when the hispanic tribe threw the challenge to get rid of Billy on Cook Islands. I thought Billy was useless and didn’t particularly like him, but no team should purposely get rid of one of it’s tribe members so early in the game.

What just added fuel to the fire was Jamie and PG’s childish, giggly attitude while doing it - that was over the top.

I just have to hope that there’s another twist here shortly that will make their move backfire on them. I DO NOT want to see PG win this thing.

Do you remember all that stuff or did you look it up? I can’t even remember who won last season.

I’m not totally against throwing a challenge but last night seemed particularly distasteful. I think Jeff was as mad at himself as he was conspiracists because he did not anticipate such a thing happening.

I had the same thoughts, although not quite as detailed. I just figured that James needed to let Fei Long know to throw the IC, and James could single handedly win it for Zhan Hu. Then let Fei Long pick off Frosti and Sherea.

I’d love to see it! I liked Jamie, until last night. Now she needs to go.

I’d like to see James win it all, but he’s too strong. First chance they get after the merge, he’s gone.

What I found funny was the no one on Zhan Hu even contemplated that because they were kidnapping 2 Fei Long, that maybe, just maybe, Fei Long would be kidnapping 2 of them.

Dittos Cuz, I was pissed too and we said the same thing, James should do absolutely nothing around camp and take it all the way - fish and not share, eat right in front of them. I hope Jeff found a way to save James.

I personally thought that little game those two broads played last night was one of the worst moments in Survivor history. I also thought it was dumb of the show to pull that little game, they had to know the two would be in trouble from the get go on both teams.

Your idea is a good one, I hope James can think of that.

This is another season where I can’t find anyone to root for like last year. I don’t understand why they can’t get anyone with some personality that is likeable as they did in the first years of the show. Like Colby and a few others. I can’t remember his name but the ex-marine....the older guy who hated Hatch to begin with. Called him a homo etc. He was fun to watch.

I think the producers NEED to change the rules. IF a team blatantly throws a challenge, then they do go to tribal council, BUT the other tribe chooses who is eliminated.

How many people think James will be the next bootee? I don't. I think he might find the hidden immunity idol, but I think the other tribe loses the immunity challenge (maybe also on purpose). I also think Todd on the other tribe also finds the hidden immunity.

No, alas, it's not that simple.. PG and her girl figured out that, gosh, what a golden opportunity just walked in. As things stand, the 'normal' back and forth between immunity challenges, they'd find themselves going into a merge likely 6 to 4 with former tribemates. By throwing two immunity challenges in a row, and tossing members, who used to be on the opposing tribe, the hope is that the merge would happen at 10 people, and they'd be /even/ with the other tribe, once reunited with their kidnapped tribemates.

This truthfully has Sherie's name all over the planning, and I bet she cooked this up while packing up. In any case, it's pretty cunning by the standards normally exhibited in Survivor - you take the two strongest people on the other tribe, you toss them out of the game, you, yourself, grow stronger going into the merge.
