I'll be darned ... I wondered why my deer always is the finest tasting ... and it's the acorns!!! Mystery solved.

I love fine ham and have been known to splurge on a good prosciutto from time to time, but will have to pass on this.

If you can find a young sow, 60 or 80 pounds, that has been feeding on White Oak acorns, it is the best pork you’ll find. Smoke it over fresh Red Maple chunks, don’t need anything else.
