I hate pit bulls but that is one tough son-of-a-female-dog.

Great of you to express your hate and admiration in the same sentence. Nice touch.

From the position of the knife, it looks like the blow came from behind.
I hope they do a follow up, I’m curious as to how it unfolded.

If my Jack Russell Terrorist didn’t already think she was a pit bull I’d adopt that dog in a heartbeat. What a combination of tough and sweet!

With the publicity and the good temperament report she should have no problem being adopted,
hopefully to a good home and to the chagrin of whoever keyworded “putitdownnow”.

Looks like a 4.5” folding Buck knife that was very popular with Army Infantry soldiers in the mid- 1970s. Still have mine. It is not an 8” knife.

How someone can do that to a dog, even with the hatred people show towards this breed, is beyond me. Self defense I can see, but it looks like whoever did this probably had the dog between their knees and stabbed down hard.
That is not the position you want a violent, biting dog to be in when you go to stab it, so I am going to assume the thing was acting just like it is in the picture.
The b*stard who did this is just a sick *&^%$# who needs a lot of psychiatric help.

I agree with you 100%. And yet, there are freepers who would see nothing wrong with this kind of behavior.
I was mauled the other day by a pit bull -- well, to be honest, he was six weeks old and he took a nibble on my finger (before he licked my hand, my face and fell asleep on my shoulder.) By the time I was able to extract myself from his evil, puppy clutches, I was covered in a thick rime of puppy slobber. It was horrible, I tell you. ;-)
The little dude had very similar markings to this poor female, and was just an angel. What a charmer.
