What totally frosts me is the way the Press worded it. He threw his wife to death “because he could no longer afford to pay...” What a crock. He threw her to his death because he was a weasely, weak coward.

When I think of all the people that serve as caregivers - and especially those who are longterm caregivers - for their elderly parents, for their disabled children, etc. and they don’t give up and throw the kid/parent off the balcony, etc. and then the Press uses the word “because.” The lack of money didn’t CAUSE this!! Arrrgh -I am frustrated with our society beyond words.

This is a shameless vanity. My 24 year old son is engaged to a lovely young woman with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. She is going through some dreadful treatments for the last 5 months and right now is prepping for her (autologous) bone marrow transplant.

And he says he can take anything at all as long as she doesn’t die. But if he has to, he’ll hold her when she goes.

This is from, really, a kid. The guy in the story? He’s not even human, in my eyes.
