Thanks, snugs. I’m sure you’ll remember that Hogmanay was canceled this year due to the stormy winds, but somehow the fireworks managed to go off! I had a wonderful time while over there, even IF I was pushed around by the winds while walking back to the B&B from the Castle.

Your pictures taken today are as lovely as the view I enjoyed of the California coast while driving back home from Monterey, CA. It was a bit too long for my liking, however, as the drive to Monterey from Fresno (in Central California) took about 3 hours, and the return trip was twice as long, meaning I spent 9 hours on the road today, and my tuckus is tired!

I like the fact that I can just walk up the road and see the sheep it gives me the illusion that I am in the country not in the middle of a town.

If you look carefully on one of the photos on the skyline you can just see the road that I have to cross to get to ASDA. There were a couple more fields up until about a year ago and then they built a row of shops but at least that does mean I am in walking distance of one of the major consumer electrical chains in the UK. Before it was about 3 miles away and not driving it was difficult to get to as you had to change buses and the buss to that industrial estate only ran every 2 hours.

Curry's is the electrical store I mentioned.
