Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

I went looking for cocoa online ever since my local store stopped carrying dark cocoa. I limited myself to a 5 lb. bag of cocoa and a small package of nibs.
Speaking of M&Ms though, today while shopping I passed through an aisle of Christmas candy (they had as much candy for Christmas as they did for Halloween, weird) and saw bags of Peppermint M&Ms. I bought one... they are quite good! Sort of like Andes Chocolate Mints, with a candy shell.
nom nom nom...
Hm...got link?
Oooh...me likey chocolate mint. That sounds...very tasty.
Here’s the current one... click the Comments link... reads from the bottom up. You’ll recognize me :~)
I bought some Creme de Menthe flavoring, and I’m going to make some homemade Andes candies this year. I’ll do some with the regular dark chocolate, and put the flavoring in some melted green candy discs, then some with sugar free dark chocolate and some melted sugar free white candy with the flavoring, along with some green food coloring. I found out how to make truffle filling using the candy discs and cream, and I’ll use that for the Creme de Menthe filling. Mmmm.
Three arrested today at port protest
I participated in the article from last night too... the one that's up to 400 posts.
They’ve been on the market for 20 years? How on earth have I missed them?
Heh...sounds like most folks agree the protesters are pretty lame...
Got a chuckle out of the loser who was trying to recruit via the comments.
I’m still in the first few dozen posts...
LOL!
Hm...I wonder what cocoa nibs would do in coffee.
I know they don’t dissolve, but I wonder what they’d taste like.
Dark cocoa sounds awful good, too. It’s turning into cocoa weather. Must get milk...
;~)
That was fun... And I gave them good arguments tonight, if I might say so myself. If I was an optimist... I’d think I made them think.
I really don’t get the one person who’s acting as though almost all guys in the military are rapists, though. :-\ If anything, I felt safer around military guys than around the general population. And, as you kept pointing out and he/she/it kept ignoring, military folks who do bad things are punished.
Ungh...there’s a HUGH bonfire thing across the street. It’s making me nervous.
Across what street? out the back or the front? Should I come look?
Back. It’s just me worrying - me and my fire fears, ya know. But it’s windy out there! How on earth do they think this a good idea?
I’m gonna go to bed in a few minutes here and just not think about it, but I can smell smoke, which always makes my heart start thumping, even if it’s from an explainable source...
Maybe I’ll have some cholesterol medicine...
I’m going to go take a look. Don’t shoot if you see someone walking around out there. ;~) Is it windy? I haven’t felt anything here.
Well...maybe it’s not windy. But it’s fire! ;-)
I think I’m being silly, as usual. I worry too much.
