The Hobbit Hole XXXIV - But better than rain or rippling streams...
Posted on 08/07/2007 7:52:15 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Oh, I'll be up a while longer, but if no one else posts I won't spam for it.

We could make meaningless small talk...
How’s the weather down there?

Well, was up in the 80s today, nice and sunny, but we're expecting a cold front to go through tonight... should bring a bit of rain, and temps tomorrow might not get out of the 60s...
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
80s? Geesh! It barely made it into the 50s here, I’d say.
It’s 40 now.
Halvah is lecturing me on how I need to feed her, in spite of the fact that her bowl is full. I could walk her in there and point it out and she’ll eat and be happy as a clam for about five minutes. That is, until she comes back in here and is once again convinced that I’ve never fed her today and her bowl must be empty, and why am I not doing anything about it???
We could play that game all night.

An aunt of mine had a Siamese cat when I was young. I remember she was quite talkative.
The cat, I mean.
Although, the aunt was too, now that I think of it...
To: no one in particular
I may be coming down with a cold...

To: darkangel82
Yeah, don't want that, so I've already popped a Cold-Eeze lozenge into my mouth.
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
I was wondering how long it was gonna take you to grab that number. ;-)

Ah, well in that case, thank you! :-)
To: Lil'freeper; HairOfTheDog
Heh, well, Hair said that they have postal kiosks at SeaTac, so it’s possible to mail something back, as long as the kiosks are at Security, where they find all of this stuff!

You’re welcome!
Ungh...I’m fading. I’m just not a night person, and the time change isn’t helping.
About time to give up on writing attempts and go read before bed for awhile.
