Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

It’s a little cramped for her. Homer hasn’t been in it yet... He actually might fit it better than Gidget. He’s taller but he’s all legs, and he can curl up into a remarkably small ball :~)

It’s funny.... we just found her in there a few minutes ago... but I have a feeling it’s a power thing. :~)

There is a variety grown locally called Macoun. It tastes like a cross between the Macintosh, which is too tart for me, and a Red Delicious. I don’t like Red Delicious these days because they’ve bred the skins so thick for transport that it’s hard to eat them, and they’re not as tasty as they used to be. I like Fujis and Braeburns, too.

I got some more bed-cleaning done and some leaf mulch spread around some plants, cleaned some ashes out of the grill, and did some cleaning indoors. Pizza just came out of the oven just as I got the dishes done, so I’m all done cleaning for the day.
BTW, Miss Cat doesn’t seem to like seagrass.

Seemed like the Red Delicious apples we always had were small and dry and mealy. Ugh. Crisp, I suppose...but crisp Styrofoam isn’t very tasty...
The soup is coming along nicely. Almost time to add the sausage.
