Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
Good evening! Interesting case, eh?
I would like to serve on a jury someday...
Home. Ready whenever you are. ;-)
Come over at 6? :~)
Sure!
Baton? Do you have a baton? They have accessories?
Thanks! New opportunities is pretty much all I’m getting out of this deal, so here’s hoping there’s payoff eventually.
Took a break for dinner and some killin’. Now I have to have my heroine dialog with anthromorphized solar objects.
type type type...sizzle.
Muh brain is done for the day. Will pick up tomorrow. Tomorrow I get to write catty girls. See, there are three girls who work at the lodge for the summer - local types - the oldest of which is peeved that the Americans got the staff flat she wanted for herself. Plus she has designs on the MMC who is terribly smitten with the FMC. FMC won't give him the time of day because she's busy doing internship hours. So local girl is going to get all uppity on those arrogant Yanks. BFF Marci (from the big, dysfunctional Italian-American family) will handle the smackdown.

Chapter two (and the first flashback) is done. Surprised myself a bit with where that went. But at least I got to insult a small town mayor-for-life and his wife.
I’m having one or two surprises too, in how things shake out. Mostly in how the relationships between people are working. But it’s going great so far. The heroine and hero should meet within another few thousand words.
Yes... An ASP expandable baton. 21in.
Not sure about accessories? Mine is an older model that I bought back when I was a coastie. Its got a plain steel handle. The later models have a soft rubber coating on the handle for better grip, but it makes them thicker.
Its cool. I carry it somewhere close by most of the time.
I like being called for jury duty. I think the process and conduct of a trial is really interesting.
Even the pomp and ceremony of the trial is cool. “All rise...” And everyone stands to show respect to the judge, or more properly the office and station and the law itself.
And the jury too. The judge calls everyone to stand when the jury enters and exits the court. Out of respect for the grave mission with which the jury is charged.
Its a serious business with serious impact on real people.
What’s not to like? :-)
There are Velco-backed gadgets you can hide inside the secret pockets.
I’ve just written myself into a corner for the evening. I just had my character and his dog go out for a long walk...on a short pier...
Seriesly, he’s standing out there in the moonlight supposed to be having a flashback, but his mind has gone blank.
Jump to the other end of the flashback and keep going. Or just have the llamas show up. whahahaaa
My heroine has to infiltrate an elf palace.
Good Morning ALL -
Hmmm. leaves turning, soon they will be falling..
Annie the cat is not amused by the brisk mornings. Gypsy, on the other hands, thinks they are great.
I’ve heard some of the 5-11 line tend to run large, some posters on another site recommended going down a size. Since I don’t have any 5-11 stuff, yet, can’t confirm or deny those posters.
Well, is narrator still at the end of the pier with his dog?
