The Hobbit Hole XXXIV - But better than rain or rippling streams...
Posted on 08/07/2007 7:52:15 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

So there I was, minding my own business Freeping along, with FOX News on behind me, when Chris Wallace comes on and says that the President is about to give a major address on the WOT at the Heritage Foundation. I did a search, found that there was no live thread, so I posted one just as he was being announced.

He attacked Dems for not confirming Mukasey, for not passing the national security wiretapping, for not funding the troops, and for catering to Code Pink and Moveon. That last was the big applause line.

I haven’t seen/heard the transcript but according to the live thread he b**ch-slapped Moveon and CodePink by name.

OK, I guess, considering this has *not* been a day where I can do any writing at work. And tonight I have church.

That is why we went last night. I think it still counts. I never really paid attention to Holy Days of Obligation before so I don’t really know the drill. We have a kick off write in tonight so we are sure to be in good shape. I mean other than that convention that will get in the way this weekend.
I started while Jen was in the shower but my computer needed an update and I had dig up the power supply... so before I knew it she was already way past me *pout*.

So, can I edit for verb tense...just on the excerpt that I want to put on my profile?
To: Corin Stormhands
Not until next month! Unless it is adding words...
actually this post is just to correct my word count...

Are you writing at werk, honey? Aren’t you supposed to be working? ;-p
And what’s your excuse going to be tomorrow when I have a higher word count than you?

Mmmmm-—Candy!
One of the lady’s in my homeschool egroup posted that you could trade in your candy at some dentist’s office and they’d pay you for it. Said most kids just like getting the candy and that too much candy wasn’t good for you.
I’m like “SAY WHAT?”
I used to practically crack a whip behind my kids when I took ‘em trick or treating! This is series bidness!
Heh heh!!

Who wants to go to a dentist with an office full of toothless hygienists?
