Hm...I’ve never really tried to figure out real-life equivalents for my characters. It might help with visualization.
Heh...well, that’s one way! And I can see advantages to that over picking celebrities...
Right now I just have general types in mind.
OK, the only one I recognize is Salli Richardson, on the right. Who are the other two chicks? And who is the dude in the skirt? ;o)
Mmmmm.....likker mixer....
Corin - well, her insurance will ‘low ball’ you, that’s for sure. Typically offer as little as possible low wholesale, maybe low trade-in. Hold out for high retail. Don’t settle till you get what you want.
Oh, you got ice? :-)
Yep. Ice, tonic water, and lemon juice...and just in time too.
I’m out of wine.
I have some nice shiraz.
Considering that I’ve spent most of today arguing with Microsoft Word again, I’m thinking a glass of shiraz as soon as I get home wouldn’t be such a bad thing...
Sounds like a successful shopping expedition.
...and I even got chocolate!
I think I’d feel either like a stalker, or vaguely just ick using a real person’s photo as the look for my characters. Not sure why... of course I’m not a particularly picture-oriented person either.
I don’t think it any different than my notes from the airport on the crazy things people do or say. I don’t know their names and probably couldn’t find them again if I tried. So they’re just muses to me.
I've stopped trying to figure people out, sincei t seems you need a PhD in abnormal psych to do that now.
Mmm, yeah. I certainly see why you do it. Makes sense. I just don’t really use very detailed images of people. More like senses. Tall, dark, bearded, whatever.
My character-handles are more relational and behavioral.
lol - I guess it helps that I am abnormal psych. Or at least I come home from work that way.
LOL, doesn’t everyone?
So, uh, did you take the plunge and go sign up? Are you gonna go crazy with us next month?
You should join us! It’s fun!
