The Hobbit Hole XXXIV - But better than rain or rippling streams...
Posted on 08/07/2007 7:52:15 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Just got home for lunch. Had to clean up a Barkley poo. :-\ Man, it was big, but at least nice and healthy and easy to pick up.
Saw an updated weather report, and the storm is still tracking north. ~Fingers crossed~

I hope the storm keeps tracking north. nothing personal against Canada... but they can have that weather.
I just told the SC that we’re having the t-storms here finally, and 2J and I are lookin’ for the twisters :~)

I just took pictures of 2J’s trunk of her car.
She carries life jackets in her car.

See-muss? or Say-Ah-muss? Remembering when the first Harry Potter came out, and having to tell some very young lady friends (now grown up! Ack!) that it was neither Her-me-own nor Her-me-won...

This all came up because a tech support company weve worked with (they do network support in the area) had a tech named Seamus, and he was astounded that anyone would spell Sean or Seamus like that.Just tell him it's one of those 'foreign' names, and you never can tell what those folks will do. ;o)

Thanks for sharing, right as I’m eating my supper. ;o) I hope Barkley is proud of himself.

If I’d not known about Hermione Gingold, I wouldn’t have known immediately how to pronounce it.

I don’t know about her.
I don’t know how I knew.
I’m just old and full of information of inconsistent usefulness, I guess.
