Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

You should do NaNoWriMo..... truly.

Heh. Well I took my walk this morning and got mobbed by a friendly pack of Bichon Frises. Wonder what Miss Cat thought of me coming back smelling of yap dog!
And......got my first attempt at pumpernickle bread proofing on the water heater and took one last picture of the tomato cage. I look at the weather forecast and the lows this week are in the fifties. Let the plants stay a little longer! The hot lemon pepper that I overwintered last year is blooming like crazy. I’ll have to take it in this year too.
I’m working on a plan for my front planter box. When I turned the dirt over a couple of weeks ago, it was a dry powdery mess. The only thing living in it was the odd grub or two and even they were few and far between. So last week (during the garlic planting) I started the soil exchange program. I expect the ground is to wet for digging today. :)
We have a flicker that just LOVES the trim board at one corner of our kitchen bumpout. We had to take it down anyway, because the builder didn't have the painter prime the back of the board, so it's never held paint, and just started rotting away. The bird is knocking on it all the time looking for insects, I guess. He's got a few more weeks, then the new trim piece goes in. If he tries knocking on the new one, I may just have to gin up a slingshot full of spitballs!
LOL! It took me a bit; kinda slow on the uptake this afternoon. Maybe I need a nap!
Back from church. I need some time to eat and get organized here...probably will start messing with the lawnmower about two-thirty. I think. I need to buy gas.
It's better. Apparently I didn't do series damage to it. We were in rehearsals all day yesterday and church and rehearsals all day today. I'm exhausted, but not really in pain. So that's a good thing.
Well, okay. But I really have ~no idea~ why you thought of Bear and Me in reference to bad puns...
Are we there yet?

That’s one imperious looking cat!
First impression is generally favorable. Muzzle blast is horrendous, but the noise level was acceptable using the shooting muffs everyone should have. Recoil seemed about twice that of a .22LR handgun, just a bit of muzzle flip.
I did all my shooting at 25 feet. The weapon can easily keep all the shots in the black at that range, if you do your part. There's a distinct two-stage trigger pull that should smoothe out in time. A double-tap sounds like almost one single shot.
You'll notice I didn't say I kept all my shots in the black. I've been looking downrange through various kinds of optics for a long time now, and this is the first time in ages I've fired at a bullseye using iron sights on a handgun. Even with glasses, all I saw was a line of three fuzzy white dots, with a sharp black dot on top of the middle one. I may have to get my eyes retrained, or put some sort of teeny, tiny optical sight on, like a Docter.
Still, I doubt I could have done better with my regular home-defense handgun, my S&W M60. In .38 Spl, it has bark and bite with a 2" barrel. The Smith is far more concealable (as in, stuck in my belt in the small of my back when I answer the door at night), but the FN could definitely lay down a lot more effective fire.
It's also a handgun easier to master for those poor souls that can't even handle a 9mm, much less a .45. Just remember the muzzle flash and noise indoors under low-light conditions.
I'm saving up for more ammo. The FN PS90 is damn-near a miracle weapon, IMHO. The companion FiveseveN just rates as "vey nice", but worth the extra look. If you can rent one somewhere, it's worth a try.
We’re here! Getting lost, going shopping, having fun.
pictures later hopefully. Got to grab lunch before the Ghibli museum.

Woo-hoo! Post pictures when you can!
I figgered as much. I was just funnin’ ya.
