This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share, usually about our horses, sometimes about our dogs, gardens and other stuff we do. :~)

I have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will ping everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends.

Larry passed this morning. The kids and I are here waiting on the hospice people to come, so I have about an hour to kill...I imagine things are going to get busy.

I can’t tell you how much all the messages about him made me feel. It’s something to have so many people think so well of a person. It would have made him feel good. Thanks again.

I’m so glad we did our visit when we did, when he still felt pretty good. I’m glad I got to meet him.

Well, I hate to hear that. Sometimes life just really sucks and that’s all you can say about it. It just doesn’t seem right to me when good people like Larry have to die and there’s so many other bad people out there that deserve it so much more. I’m so sorry it had to happen to a good person like you too.

Please let us know his funeral arrangement when you know them. I’m sure there’s many of us who would like to pay our respects to him in any way that you would like.

Becky, I admire the marriage you had. Your relationship was as strong at the end as many of us hope for when we make those promises at the beginning.

I've been feeling very mortal these last few days, thinking about all Becky and Larry have been going through. We all have some kind of end to our stories, and we don't know what it will be until we get there. I know that faith helps a lot when people are pondering those questions, and I hope yours has brought you hope and peace.

I just got in from her house...Steve is home and you know how he is about me logging on to the computer, so I didn’t get the news until I got there.

She’s holding up well. A strong Oklahoma woman. I’m proud of her. She did the right and loving thing to the very end.

Ah - well thanks for going to see her. Been thinking about them and everything that is happening there, hoping Becky is doing well, I am glad her kids are there. Who knows... your soup may be even more appreciated now.

I feel like I’m starting to sound redundant:), but once again your kind expressions of sympathy mean alot, and the wonderful things you’ve said about Larry. It all means so much.

We’ll be leaving here shortly to go make the arrangements, I’ll let you know what we do and when...
