This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share, usually about our horses, sometimes about our dogs, gardens and other stuff we do. :~)
I have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will ping everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
I’m glad you finally said it... now use us... whenever you need us.
Tagamet seems to shrink cancers. It’s been used for several years in veternarian medicine. It’s the active ingrediant in it - cemedine (sic) that seems to do it. I’m including several links to another forum. Expose’ is dealing now with cancer and has done a vast amount of research. NCSusan is a very close friend of mine that went through breast cancer, also lots of research. I’ll find some Google links and post them also.

Thanks, you’ve been a great friend so far visiting with me privately about all this for the last several weeks.
I just didn’t want anyone to think I had a problem with anyone here...it was time.
Becky
Wow, that is really interesting...
Thanks for the info...I will definitely look into if it would be effective on the type that Mack has.
Becky
It appears to help all cancers to some degree.
This is what it is.

Some of the research on it.

If you get a chance, do a google search cimetidine and cancer. You will find medical research along with andidotol (sic) information
You and Mack and your family have my prayers.
Please never give up hope. I have survived cancer twice.
Thanks so much for all the info...I will have Mack read it.
It definitely can’t hurt at this point.
Thanks again Duchess, it is greatly appreciated, and I will seriously look into trying, and let you know.

O LORD, look down from heaven, behold, visit, and relieve this thy servant. Look upon him with the eyes of thy mercy, give him comfort and sure confidence in thee, defend him in all danger, and keep him in perpetual peace and safety; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Do not give up. My parents have survived cancer -- my father twice. Use every resource -- including prayer!
Thank you, you just gave me some hope:).
Becky
Although BamBam is huge, she’s a timid mare and people can easily frighten her by being harsh. I think perhaps her first five years before we got her were hard. Anyway, she tries very hard to do whatever you want but needs a quiet hand and an easy manner.
I think they probably scared her and then she found out if she reared they left her alone. Some one yelling at her and hitting her for what to her would be an unknown reason would put her over the edge.
Thanks AAM:)
Becky
I originally discovered it when my arab mare had melanoma and the vet found it had attached all down her neck and spine. He didn’t think she could make it 3 weeks, 3 months on the outside but asked me to try the cemetidine. She survived, it’s been eight years now. I kept her for four more years and then let her go to a breeding farm. I talked to her owner by email earlier this year, she’s doing great and one of her colts is his up and coming stallion. So, I saw it work and have since then read a lot of information saying that it does.
Oh dear.
You, Mack and your family are in my prayers.
Have you seen this?
Right to ride on trails
This is bill is for the all of the USA not just Washington State. Make sure everyone speaks up and lets the government know we want to preserve our right to ride/pack our horses on government lands. More and more land across the nation is being closed to horse use every year. Speak up now or soon you may lose access to ride your horse on the trails!

It only takes a second.... please forward it to your horse friends .
OK trail advocates— here’s your opportunity to show support for the new bill that will go through the Senate and will replace the Right to Ride.
Hope and faith are a lot in cancer. You have to have them no matter what.
I remember being very, very tired too. Cancer will do that to you. It just saps your strength.
I will be praying.
I’m heading to the couch... tired here... Duchess, I have been hearing about that and will check it out in the morning. Thanks, we’ll definitely participate.
Have a good night.
Becky have Mack think of some positive goals like what he really wants to do. And make sure he wants them.
Now, don’t laugh; my goal is to be an old lady that is old enough to say four letter words and everyone will think I am cute.
It’s been 26 years and I just turned 60 a few months ago so I am on my way.
Am thinking about you and want you to know Mack is in my prayers.........anything we can do, you know you have friends here.
