This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share, usually about our horses, sometimes about our dogs, gardens and other stuff we do. :~)

I have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will ping everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends.

Boy, I don’t know on removal of scar tissue. I’ll ask. I’m sure hoping there’s a plan B. The last report to me was that she was expected to be in the hospital for months.

I’m about to call and find out if I have a warrant out for my arrest. I had jury duty this week and I completely forgot to call. ;~o

Good Morning everyone!

Becky, how are those pups doing?

I'm going off to the barn today, it's supposed to be bitterly cold- we'll see how long I survive. :-) I rode yesterday, it was fairly warm in the 40s. Today, it's only going to be in the 30s, and there's a wind kicking up.

I may get my snow day today... supposed to get a couple inches... maybe! Hope so!

Not going to last long though, a storm is coming through Sunday and Monday that will be warm (40s) wet, and ... [windy].

We’re warm here today, but again very windy, which makes it feel chilly.

I’m cooking, getting ready for the family to come tomorrow for our yearly capaletti making day.

Sorry Becky! For some reason I thought that it was you! What are capalletis? Anything like cavalettis? :-D I’m trying to convince myself to get off my duff and go to home depot to pick up paint. But I’m so tired and it’s cold out.

The are made from scratch Ravioli...we make them every year for our Christmas dinner. They’re not hard to make, just takes a lot of time...rolling out the pasta dough, and cutting it, and filling each little circle...takes all of us to get enough done for our meal.

My mother was a full Italian...LOL...I thought everyone had them for Christmas when I was a kid:)

We're back from town. Tried to find a frame for my poster print of Bay... but evidently it's an odd size so I may have to go to a frame shop.

Colllllld. Very cold, but still none of the snow that was promised. a few flakes here and there... if you blink you'll miss them.

Fixed the broken wire the deer pulled down in the back forty and let the horses out there for the first time in awhile. Not much to eat out there either, but it is a change of scenery from the front pasture.

Bay tried to run around a little but the mares wouldn't play... they just wanted to eat.

Actually he ~was~ a little gimpy! - but I think he just hasn’t moved much lately... they’ve been doin’ nothin’ but standing around and I think some of his joints had rusted. ;~)

He was having fun anyway :~)

I certainly hope it’s not a Ruby Ridge type standoff. Tell them you’re suffering from early onset Alzhiemers and if they give you any problems, say “I’m sorry, who are you and why are you calling me?” (well, it’s worth a try)

Eh - it’s gonna gyp me, I know it. It’s practically stopped already. Tomorrow it’s supposed to turn to rain and wind anyway so I’m going to get the un-fun storm without enough of the good kind.
