This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share, usually about our horses, sometimes about our dogs, gardens and other stuff we do. :~)
I have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will ping everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
That lady lives right behind the Shell Station. she use to have lots of Kanga’s out there. I didn’t realize she still had some:) I’ve never gotten to see the baby’s, but my son and wife were friends with her and got to see them often.

Looks like a fun parade:). More cowboys then aliens tho:)
Becky
A slip and fall:)
Jumped up and took off, like "you didn't really take a picture of that, did you?"
And a finish up, "look how majestic I can be:)"
AFter the run was over I walk out to see the skid marks where he fell..may be hard to tell, but they were pretty long 15-20 feet of skid and churned up weeds and mud:) The clutz:)

Grizzly looks like he is thinking, "Man, did I just trip that horse!"
Grizzly always has to be on the play. I know he’s going to get killed one of these days, like my other heeler...
I don’t really KNOW the lady, just know of her thru the kids. Kristy was always going to take me to see the baby kanga’s, but that is just one of those things you never get around too.
How’s your ear and dental work? better I hope.
Becky
The parade route is probably only about 3miles but the parade takes from 10am to 2pm to pass. Ashley is one of our ladies of the evening :)
:) Basically, I guess we’re more of a cowboy state, even though we have a few aliens.
I love the picture of Harley running towards the camera with Grizzly behind him - he looks great.
Great pictures! The one where Harley is running at the camera is a particularly good shot!
Yeah, it was pretty cool. i was standing just inside the gate of the arena, and he came flying towards me thru the gate opening and right past me, hoofs thundering:) , of course then Susie wanted in on the game, so I’m freaking out, thinking he is going to kick out with two dogs behind him. I’ve never seen her chase a horse, she usually skeedaddles out when the horses are running. I don’t know what got into her, but she really doesn’t need to be doing it.

Proud pappa
This IS fun (halfway out to the duck in one leap)
I can't believe he's sitting there so nicely while the duck is being waved right over his nose! Here's Shelley's usual response to anything being waved right over her nose:
Ruby just runs off with it . . .
Is that a little teal?
Beaker is away for a few days.
Yes, Becky, I am much better.
Congrats to Blue and Bob on their first duck! Very cool.
Temps were very low last night, with our first real frost.
Suppose to be in the high 60's the rest of the week.
Shelley's grandfather's water entry:
Shelley's water entry:
She's not going to win any dock diving contests.
Ruby gets a little more air:
Great news on Blue’s first duck! It just amazes me that a dog can be that happy to jump into cold water like that. Brrrrrr!
That’s a cool pic of the grandsire’s water entry. That dog is FOCUSED!
Excellent pup pictures Duchess!
I believe Bob said it was a coot? Janelle said Blue was just so patient but really focused, watching every bird that flew over. And, I guess - believes that if you’re going to dive in the water, you need to DIVE into the water :) Bob is still bragging on him this morning.
Good morning everyone - have a great week, it's gorgeous here.
