This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share, usually about our horses, sometimes about our dogs, gardens and other stuff we do. :~)
I have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will ping everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
We are supposed to get rain tomorrow.
Poor Bob. Did they do a culture? That will show what antibiotics will work.
Yall be careful headed home. Keep in touch.
Echoing CindyDawg - everyone have a safe trip home.
HA!! Great pictures!
I’m stuffed...my stomach is all upset. I took a Zantac and a couple of Advil.
I sure had a good time these past few days...thank you so much for including me. It was really great to see Hair again and to meet Blade and Frog.
I didn’t catch that Bob has been ill, hoping for a speedy recovery.
We just got our first travelers on their way. It’s raining here, now, but they should drive out of it fairly soon.

Please say prayers for all caught in the fires out in Southern Cal. I’m getting reports of two large arabian farms which have had homes destroyed and horses just turned loose in hopes of saving themselves. I believe there are some thoroughbred farms in that area too.
I should be working but keep checking in on the latest and it’s just stomach turning.
Praying everyone has a safe journey home.
Will do, praying they stay safe. I understand that some at least confirmed arson.
North Arabians has an irrigation system so all horses turned out in the fields and are relatively safe. House is a complete loss. One stallion has done some breeding and that will all have to be sorted out later. One colt kicked up badly but nothing can be done about it at the moment.
Don’t have the name of the thoroughbred farm but one is reported to have had heavy equine losses. This is so heartbreaking.
thanks for the update - I’ve not seen this online, however, at work so search is limited.
Hey, I just checked her flight and I see she has landed. I came home from dropping her off, sat down for a minute to talk to Mack and went out like a light...just woke up.
Her next flight:

She called and checked in a few minutes ago. Boarding for the next leg will be starting shortly.
Hey there!! I just made it in the house. We got to the barn and quickly dropped my horses off around 5pm then headed to my house to unload Blade and all her stuff so she could be on her way home as quickly as possible. It was a blessedly uneventful trip aside from a few showers. I need to head back to the barn and feed Hope and Ellie before it gets too dark but I’ll talk to you a little bit later. Thanks again for a GREAT weekend!
Keep us posted! I’ve had a hectic day but have wondered off and on about the travelers!
Good!! Glad you made it home safely!
Great.
How far does Blade have to go to get home?
How’s the horse’s?
Becky
Hey, thanks for coming. I had a great time and hope we can do it again about once a year, somewhere:), even here again, altho, I think I need to take a turn making the drive:). It was great finally getting to meet you all. I’ve sorted thru all the pictures, over 400, and I know I don’t have them all:)
It hasn’t stopped raining here since you left, just a slow steady rain, and some wind, but it’s gotten very cold.
Hair got off fine, and her plane is over Co. now.
Becky
It was so wet and cold here, that Hair and I took Dot home about 8:00 this morning. She was shivering out there in that pen, just not much protection. I think she was glad to get home too...took off running and bucking for her pasture buddies:)
