*HUGS*
As we enter into the night
With a continual diminishing of light
We contemplate the scare that we had today
That our Soaring Feather was going away
For such a loss of a guiding hand
To all the poets in the Lair that form a tiny band
We liken it to that of a boat that has no steering
In a poetry sea with thunderous waves careening
We wish as lost souls that our Feather will decide
To review our creative works for another 4 year ride
As for me, I am being selfish
For I hope that I am granted my 4 year wish
Soaring Feather has relented
To stay around she has consented
And keep the Lair a happy place
While we Lairites give her some space
To keep the Treasure within the Lair
Knowing Soaring Feather will be there
As she pursues other avenues of delight
And soars about in the night
And allow her on gossamer wings to soar
High above the earthly floor
To gaze upon mountain and brook
And gather material for her book
A book created from a mind well rested
Pleasant reading to be sure created from skills well tested
As I wander off into the night to look at the sky
I look forward to a book that someday I will buy
Whose cover bears Soaring Feather name
With an autograph inside that is the same

I do love your graphics! LOL
How was that low - low calorie desert?
Yummy..I had dessert recently called chocolate cobbler. My son made me do it(grin) I was curious...I would not call it cobbler but it had a different texture under the sauce and ice cream ..Delicious. Chocolate is one of the necessities of life.

That is beautiful, Meggers.
What a beautiful flower and frame. I haven’t stuck my head outside to see what the temperature. One thing is for sure, it will be much hotter when I go to work.
Good morning Lady Jag. Cute and funny graphic.
Champion
Author Unknown
The average runner runs
until the breath in him is gone,
But the champion has the iron will
that makes him carry on.
For the rest the average runner begs
when limp his muscles grow,
But the champion runs on leaden legs,
his courage makes him go.
The average man's complacent
when he's done his best to score,
But the champion does his best,
and then he does a little more.
Thanks. It might be representative of the upcoming week.
LOL, Lady J
Thank you..I loved finding that rose for the poets and poem posters.
I’ve never seen a rose like it. It’s beautiful
Hope your week goes smoothly or as well as it can possibly go!
I love to flower hunt..I find things I have never seen before..
I am looking at the back groundcover and it is time for a “weedeating” to neaten it up..I am not moved to do it right now..Not feeling like a champion today!
Coffee Vs The Cup It’s In
A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life. Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups -- porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite -- telling them to help themselves to the coffee.
When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: "If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress.
Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In most cases it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink.
What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups... And then you began eyeing each other's cups. Now consider this: Life is the coffee; the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, and the type of cup we have does not define, nor change the quality of Life we live. Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee God has provided us."
"God brews the coffee, not the cups.... Enjoy your coffee! The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything."
"Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God. You are the miracle, my friend, Your life either shines a light -- or casts a shadow. Live Simply, Love Generously, Care Deeply, Speak Kindly and Leave the Rest to God."
You mean to say that you didn’t eat “The Breakfast of Champions” this morning?
Very good. I like that.
