If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

~HAPPY WEEKEND!~
This Snowy Owl, this grinning jester
a question causes me to ponder
in his wisdom does he know us
and tease us with this profound thought
does he know more than we?
Are his facial contortions a natural
joshing our brain to come and play
a guessing game with him this evening
and what would a Snowy Owl say?
Who do you think you are you human?
I can fly and grab a meal
a raptor is my humble species
humans just plod along on feet
while my retreat can be up high
looking at a moonlit sky
countless stars in velvet black heavens
with shooting comets whizzing by.
You see my eyes at slant
it is my wont today
it adds to my impishness a
coy little way
here among the fallen logs
I bring myself to play.
Per chance a woods mouse may just happen by
I will pounce upon his fur and have my dinner today.
After myself is fat and full, I will fly away.

Well, you certainly did give me a boost with Snowy Owl. I thought about his/her funny little grin all afternoon, then did something about it. It is not fine poetry, just mediocre observations. However, just love the inspiration.

Oh my gosh, two more adorable owls!!
Owl opines
Me thinks, you think
there is one of me
with four eyes
all the better to see
but master of fooling
a human’s eye, you see
I stood in line
so that you could barely
see the other one of owly me.

When cats run home and light is come, And dew is cold upon the ground, And the far-off stream is dumb, And the whirring sail goes round, And the whirring sail goes round; Alone and warming his five wits, The white owl in the belfry sits.
When merry milkmaids click the latch, And rarely smells the new-mown hay, And the cock hath sung beneath the thatch Twice or thrice his roundelay, Twice or thrice his roundelay; Alone and warming his five wits, The white owl in the belfry sits.
Alfred, Lord Tennyson
