I just witnessed a car chase from the FOX helicopter feed around where I live. It was fast around Roscoe Blvd., Owensmouth Ave, De Soto Ave, etc. and ended on Topanga Blvd. where Chatsworth Park is near the hills. 12 police cars came by to stop it. Those were airborne videos. Note that this is near very dark. There is a ground video of men and women coming to the noise wondering WTF? I only take a lady to a beach in Ventura that makes hearts quiet.

Unless you have a seriously souped up orange dodge charger and a bunch of ponds to jump over, running from the cops is never a good idea.

Just a hint about where this is taking place might make it newsworthy. We don’t all live near Roscoe Blvd, Owensmoutn Ave, and De Soto Ave. I know it’s in California, near Ventura Beach, but WHo What Where When Why and How are still pretty good rules of journalism even if it is just an FR post.

I never understood the fascination that people in California have with car chases. Did that start with OJ?

I like the one here in Texas that made a COPS episode...where the officer just rams the fleeing car, causing it to roll...and the officer just announces that the suspect is stopped and disabled at so-and-so street. :)

Chatsworth Park and a mile away from Chatsworth reservoir. Right off Topanga Canyon Blvd. Right near the 118 FWY.

Nah—a true SoCal would quote you location from the latest version of his LA/Orange County THOMAS GUIDE...BBG
*BBG=Back Before Garmin
Is it any coincidence that the center console in my Ford was EXACTLY the right size to have all the Thomas Guides for all of California from Mexican Border to San Luis Obispo and out to Death Valley?

I never understood the fascination that people in California have with car chases. Think crime, chase, blood, carnage etc.....It's human nature to be a spectator, and makes big news...Whether you understand it or not, it's big news and it will continue to be covered by news agencies, and naturally, people will continue to be spectators.

When you see one right around where you live on TV it seems to get interesting. The choppers are gone. The cops are gone. And the lovers in the park found another place to go. There is very little crime here because a lot of L.A. Police, Highway Patrol, Sheriffs Deputies and Fire Dept. people live between here and Simi Valley. It's quiet.
Don't you think surrounding an idiot with 12 cars sends a message?

Forget that. You need to know the streets without it. Wherever you are.

You're here. There are only 3 reasons using deadly use of force is justifiable. You list them.
