Howdy!
Are you northerners heading South for the gathering Sunday?
I had fun with the “short legs”. Cute kids you got there LEL.
I’m sorry to report that one of the main draws to San Antonio is no longer. Louise Gentry... the lovely lady who taught me to play golf when I was 8... A truely “great” grandmother to my son... died last month.
But I do promise to call next time I’m down your way. I really should have when the AIA was in town, but it was a pretty wild week.
Wally world or Target will have a good selection of tackle, but since you know nothing about fishing, I would suggest Dick’s or Pro Bass shop for knowledgable people.
If he is old enough for Cub or Boy scouts, get him in a pack or troop. Most will do fishing at least once a year, and he can be taught by people who know what to do.
What part of Ohio? Maybe Shy can help you find a river or lake to wet a hook in.
After you pick the neat away from a ton of bones....
My pet peeves:
Liberals
Baltimore accents
Indecisive people
Bureaucrats
People who think socialized medicine is great
The new silver craze in electronics
Over-personalized welcomes in hotels, like “My name is so-and-so and I had the pleasure of cleaning your room today”
Ivy Leaguers
The fact that Penn State is in the Big Ten
AC/DC
When people say “SATs” instead of “SAT”
Dumb rules
When you’re walking in a crowded hallway and the idiot in front of you stops and turns around to talk to someone
The slang word “pardner”
There are probably more, I just can’t think of them at the moment
Oh yeah, I forgot this one:
Squirrells
I hate those annoying little animals...if they went extinct I wouldn’t care
Also political protests annoy me
So do the Ottawa Senators and Toronto Maple Leafs
One more:
Little dogs, especially white poofy French poodles and chihuahuas
And illegal immigrants
LOL ...Classic comment!
I’m very sorry to hear about your friend.
.
AIA...Association of incidental Aardvarka? ;)
American Institute of Architects... or as some call it... Another Ignorant Architect
No we’re all sick! I missed my mail route today, even. I gotta be really down to stay home from that.
I’m a truck driver and my pet peeve is when cars cut me off and then slam on the brakes and look at me like I’m the idiot. I weigh 80,000 lbs to their 4,000 lbs tops and they just don’t realize what it takes to stop the truck. Most people don’t know is that an empty truck is harder to stop than a loaded one. So, if all you FR’ers can pass the word to all your friends, please give truckers the space and respect most of us deserve. Thanks. NH

I always enjoy the chances I have to “help” tractor-trailer drivers. When I’m in the passing lane and they signal they want to come out to pass, I slow down a little (if I can do so safely) and flash my lights at them. When they have passed me (it happens once in a while! :) I will flash them - usually after dark - so they know they have completely gone by.
I suppose my pet peeve is the few who don’t flash a “thank you”. All is forgiven if we’re in tight traffic, though - they need to pay attention to avoiding all the other idiots on the road (I suppose some might even include me in that camp!).
Stay safe, FRiend!

Humidity on toilets

I’m sorry I’m late.....did I miss Friday?
Nope. I’m here next week.
About a week late.
