He was truly an original! A real character but also a man who did a lot of people a tremendous amount of good.

I’ll miss him. Especially his restaurant rants. There are quite a few eateries/chains I refuse to go to on the basis of his reports. Yes, I know. It’s possible those places may have remedied their problems with filth and vermin. It’s also possible that they’ll revert to their old ways now that he’s gone.

R.I.P. Mr. Zindler. And thanks for the memories!

What a career he had! I saw him in the hallway of old Jeff Davis Hospital where I worked in the late 70’s - he was clearly surprised to see me (why, I didn’t know, but suspected that a white hospital worker stood out in the crowd!).

Thanks to all for reminding this Houstonian-in-exile about the “Slime in the ice machine!” I always wondered if he was still around.
