Bill O'Reilly Slams Freerepublic

Posted on 07/29/2007 3:49:13 PM PDT by WyCoKsRepublican

I recently tuned in to the Radio Factor to hear Bill O'Reilly saying that he was hated by Freerepublic and that it was an extreme right wing blog. First of all, Mr. O'Reilly is not hated. I have a lot of respect for the man, his honesty, integrity and point of view. What I don't like, as do many Freepers, is that when he is on target on some key issues, he is way off target on others. He needs to realize that we even disagree amongst ourselves quite often. I get my daily dose of talk radio, Rush, Dr. Savage, Boortz, Levin and O'Reilly. Why does he always have to thrash a conservative i.e. Ann Coulter in the same breath when he's zapping a liberal? Let's just say that when some of us disagree with him, he needs to be "de-spun" on occasion. It's called "tough love" Mr. O'Reilly. The Great Oz has spoken.

Bill O’Reilly is great going after corrupt judges that most of the media indirectly supports, and sometimes even directly. And he is often asks tough questions.

...was an extreme right wing blog.

That's hilarious. This is a web site for RNC cheerleaders and Bush fans.

Not hated. He has just shown himself to be an ignorant buffoon so often he has no credibility. Oh yeah, he is also a sexual harasser.

I like O’Reilly...still waiting for him to apologize to the swift boat vets though.

Back in his “Inside Edition” days, I had the misfortune of stumbling across a back-haul satellite feed of him standing on a roof somewhere, and they were in the process of taping that day’s show...something happened back at the studio, and he had to wait a little before his next bit - and he was cursing up a storm - and I’ve rarely seen anyone in such a blue-language frenzy. That told me all I needed to know about him right there. He’s amusing to watch...and I agree with those here who say on some things, he’s on the money. On others, he’s plain nuts - and he’s simply gone too nuts for my taste, and I quit watching him about a year ago.

If the Left keeps trying to put him out of business, O’Reilly will be beloved by Free Republic.

Bill O’Reilly did a good job when he first started his TV show, but soon got greedy and overwhelmed with radio, books and public appearances. Nowadays, he does his homework on about every 10th story, so he’s wrong a lot and his ego will never let him correct his errors.

By coincidence, I happened to hear that exchange on the car radio. I was waiting for a baseball game and the O'Reilly show happened to be on.

I have never heard his radio show before, nor do I watch his TV show, as I don't watch any TV.

O'Reilly was talking to a caller and the topic turned to forums. O'Reilly said in the course of the conversation that some posters at FR wrote hate-filled posts about him.

The caller asked if the posts were as vile and profanity-laced as the left-wing blogs who also wrote hate-filled posts about him

O'Reilly said most definately not. The posts were not at all profane, quite unlike the leftist forums, just hateful against him.

O'Reilly finished by saying that if far-left forums hated him, and far-right forums also hated him, he felt was exactly where he should be in his commentary.

“I stopped listening to O’Reilly when he once attacked Jesse Helms…”

He lost me in 2004 when he went against my Swiftboat Vet’s brethren. Up until then I actually liked the guy, even read his first book. Now, I can’t even stand to look at his pontificating, “I’m here looking out for you”, populist BS mug.

After years of claiming that he was conservative, another of his kind comes out of the closet yet again. They’re lefties, folks.

Don’t vote for the Mob. Vote for Duncan Hunter.

Hopefully he will stick to Hollywood bimbos and various types of perverts but leave economics and science alone. I get so embarrassed for him I have to change the channel.

I agree. He's not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

“Bill is not always consistent. He does try to be. He is honest.”

O’Reilly is a moderate with a Conservative slant to him. He is the voter Conservatives don’t court but the RATS try to.

Like him or hate him, people listen to him.

This is why Conservatives need to take over the Republican party. The RINO’s can no longer be trusted with the responsibility of forwarding the party’s agenda.

I just haven’t bothered watching him for four years.
