Sadly , bringing it to today's thread... ,

"Just got back from EAA's Airventure in Oshkosh. Heart wrenching day.

We watched a simulated air race between a corsair, Bearcat, F-7, and 2 Mustangs. They finished the race and the planes came in to land. As the first Mustang came in on final he bouced and the plane flipped onto its back, exploding on impact. The second mustang, coming in right behind him, swerved, hit the brakes, and sent his nose into the ground. The pilot of the second Mustang got out to assist, but there was nothing he could do.

We've lost a tremendous pilot today.

Most of the Air show was cancelled at that point.

We take so much for granted, and never get over the fact that things can end so quickly.

Please say a prayer for the family of the pilot who died this afternoon. (His name is being withheld so they can notify the families.)

Thanks!

Jay
