The show is apparently called Born Survivor in the UK.

I had my doubts about some of his claims and the show in general, but it doesn’t stop me from enjoying it. I see the show more as a teaching tool, than a real life documentary.

I wonder if people actually thought the show was real. It’s an interesting entertaining show, but the sawed off logs in the log raft should have tipped them off that it was staged.

My (just turned) 14 year old son isn’t going to be happy about this.

Whenever I see a “reality show” with someone supposedly living off the land I can’t help but think the cameramen aren’t living off the land.

I’ll still watch it. It’s better than a lot of the stuff that’s on. I’m still waiting for him to parachute into West Oakland.

I think the cameramen are better equipped than Bear. I’d like to know more about how the show is actually filmed...have a camera crew follow the camera crew.

Oakland, now that would be survival, but likely to need more than a knife.
Yeah, I watch it too, it’s entertaining but a little over dramatized. Jumping into freezing water when you are in survive mode seems a little far fetched. Needlessly running down cliffs seems like a stretch. I also doubt I would take the river route.

I always liked survivorman better. He does it alone.

So what if some of the show is stage! Any intelligent person could deduce that. I look at it like a training film. Its the information conveyed that is important. Who knows? Anyone of us could be stuck in the Gobi Desert without a pot, right?

We just drop you into a lot of different hellholes equipped with nothing, and you do what you have to do to survive. You want to impress me? Drop his white arse in the middle of D.C. in the dead of night, and see if he makes it out alive!
