The expanded popularity of stand your ground and defend your castle, should be further expanded to trespassers on private property will be shot. Little house or big ranch makes no difference. You on someones property without permission, you best be walking up the front door, hat in had and real polite. These sneak around scum thieves would of been dead decades ago. They murdered because they were alive, and they were alive because of leftist/liberal/RINO wimps that couldn’t pull the trigger on them and wouldn’t let fellow citizens cull them out of the human experiment.

I can’t even fathom the terror this family endured.

When I read how many convictions these guys had I had to shake my head. What does it take to put someone behind bars for good? It’s obvious they were not going to be rehabilitated. Maybe if parole boards and judges were held accountable for crimes like these they might think twice before releasing the scum.

Career criminals should spend the rest of their lives in prison.”

These two guys have graduated beyond career criminals.
They turned into rabid animals. Too bad the cops didn’t shoot both of them.

Even Capote admitted that the death penalty served the case of justice in the Kansas case. He also witnessed the executions.

Somewhere there is a judge and parole board complicit in the crime...

What does it take to put someone behind bars for good?

Murder charges? (The article says the deaths were homicides, but no mention of charging the men with that.)

Connecticut is not a “stand your ground” state, it is a “must retreat” state.

On Monday, investigators had not determined what brought the men to the Petits' home.

This is still the key question - as home invasions are hardly ever random events. When I was growing up we had an incredible incidence of home burglaries in our neighborhood - in nearly every case it was because of teenage children of the victims volunteering information about the family possessions and wealth to their frends - some of whom were the perpetrators, and others simply passed the details along to the local criminal element in return for drugs or cash...or simply in an attempt to fit in with the "cool" crowd.

So the big question is how did Komisarjevsky find out about and choose to target this family in particular?

No. Once they have been CONCLUSIVELY BEEN PROVEN — via DNA and all the rest — to be such, THEY SHOULD BE EXECUTED!

THIS tax slave is weary beyond words of supporting these animals at over $30K a year.

Cheaper to send them to Harvard so the liberal profs can deal with them.

Everyone email The Connecticut Network to Abolish the Death Penalty. http://www.nodp.org/cnadp/

We should also suggest that they put "Gun Free Zone" stickers on their houses.

I suggested that to my anti-gun sister. She didn't have anything to say.

I was refering to their being paroled. Take away parole and keep their sorry asses in jail and you don’t have three dead bodies. The death penalty now is ideal put it comes a little late for those three people.

I’ll bet CT has strick anti-firearms laws — for honest citizens.

If ANINMALS like these two only knew how much trouble they’d be in for violating THOSE, they’d never have done this, right?

BTW, I don’t believe KENNESAW, GEORGIA has had a successful home invasion for over 3 decades.

You youngsters who have never heard the story, look it up.

I read the charges and didn’t see where they were charged with murder. Did I miss that?

They exemplified the best in public service," Milone said. "Without their great work this could have been a far worse tragedy."

Not to take anything away from the police and firemen sho responded to the scene of this nightnare but how in the world could it have been worse? The CT justice system failed to protect society from these two rabid animals and let them live at taxpayer expense in half way houses and rehab centers while they plotted their crimes. Three innocent victims were brutally murdered and a father was beaten and subdued while his daughters were raped and then murdered. Just how in the hell could this be any worse?!?!
