I don’t know about rotting meat, but I DO know curry removes the gamey taste from venison.

Yes, I do. Similar for Tandoori chicken. But I'm becoming a bit "sensitive" to meat though the curries et al help, and the vegetarian offerings are great. My travel planner now has "hindu" entered for (airline) meal preferences, though I don't often get it.
This time I'm going to try to find out what was in that "vegetarian breakfast" I had last time.
