Bauhaus Home Design (Vanity)

I live in a condo and the first thing I realized about the place was the small space of every room. What to do fill it up with? I was attracted to the Bauhaus Design. I've chosen a variety of designers: De Stijl table lamp for my nightstand and a pair of Stockholm House Design corner floor lamps for practical living room lighting. Le Corbusier Petit Sofa and Chaise Lounger for the living room. The dining space has an Arco glass table and a set of Brno cantilevered chairs by the influential Bauhaus archirect Mies Van der Rohe. The timeless and minimalist sensibilility I was looking for looked both stunning and fashionable without being overpowering. In my master bedroom, Loft Series steel and glass tables and as well as a Classic steel bed frame brought out the spare look I wanted. There's something to be said for fashion that both works and leaves one admiring at the harmonious and simple lines of the various home furnishings. I feel a practical approach to furnishing the home can be useful and beautiful. The emphasis on the simple and the timeless underlines the entire approach of the Bauhaus Design philosophy.

A Chaise. I have this and its absurdly comfortable:

Its completely adjustable by moving the rails. Great for watching big screen TV. The only drawback is it won't be a good fit for a supersized person. For any one else who likes minimalism, I'd say its the ultimate recliner statement.

Agreed. The Bauhaus effect is both retro and modern. It shows up particularly well in Braun products which adhere to the essence of timelessness.

No. I actually live in Colorado now. I must say starting from scratching and debating what way to go, I have liked the end result a lot. My preferences are mine and I'm not seeking to impose them upon others. The Bauhaus is all a question of taste: it enthralls me. But I understand it may leave others cold.
