Just in case one of the seven people in Canada who care about what fading actress Tori Spelling is up to these days happens to be reading this blog, check it out, you guys: Tori Spelling's a minister now.
Well, only kind of. According to a report from CanWest News Service, the former 90210 star became an ordained minister via the Interweb last week and used her newfound holiness to legally wed a gay couple at the rented inn featured in her reality TV show, Tori and Dean: Inn Love. (Which, of course, we assume you've seen.)
My official certificate is in the mail, Spelling announced in her MySpace blog posting Tuesday, although she did not specify to which church she is attached. Im so proud. I cant wait to hang it.
The 34-year-old actress, who is married to Toronto-born Dean McDermott, said she performed a service for gay couple Tony and Dex at Chateau La Rue, the rented inn featured in her reality show Tori and Dean: Inn Love.
I was beyond nervous ... Ive done live theater and presented at the Emmys and this by far was my scariest moment simply because they had bestowed such an honour upon me and I didnt want to let them down, wrote Spelling. I will never forget that night and was so proud to witness first hand what I already knew ... that Love is pure and true Love knows no gender.
While Ms. Spelling didn't specify which church she's now ministering things up for, we here at Posted are putting our money on the venerable Universal Life Church, which proudly boasts over 20 million ordained since 1959 and facilitates this process with a free online ordination form.
To be the Deacon (pastor) of a congregation:
1 Timothy 3:12 and Titus 1:6
Ah, the husband of one wife who is her wife? ;-)
Ay ay ay ay ay!
Another Hollyweird nisguided idiot.
I meant “misguided”.
Stupid lack of typing skills!
If the ordination was actually through the real ULC it would be through http://www.ulchq.com http://www.ulc.net or http://www.ulcseminary.org
The sites listed in the article are not directly linked to the real ULC begin by Kirby Hensley.
Thank you,
I know lots of people who are ministers through the ULC.
I see nothing wrong with it and believe they are providing a service.
