My Dragonfly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Thank heavens I have another so I could finish..Thats the first time I ever nicked one. That could have been a real shocking experience.

Bamboo grows like a weed in California..One had to have it carefully curbed or its roots just continually put up new shoots.

I will not be slashing and hauling shrubs today, my back aches. LOL
Whoa, you nicked an extension cord, whew!
To: MEG33
Must be the warmer climate that allows for the growth of bamboo. TN is hot as the dickens.

LOL..Indeed! I heard a crackle and immediately unplugged it from my trimmer. I was happy I heard it..It was only a knick but it got some wires.

It probably could not survive sustained freezing temperatures..It’s a “takeover plant”..so I would never plant it where it could not be contained.

The piece that I placed in the water has grown a lot of roots and leaves. I have not placed it in dirt, just water.

Doesn’t need dirt then I would guess. Gets all its nourishment from the minerals in the water.

You planted his supper.
To: MEG33
LOL! I've don't that. Did you feel as silly as I did when I nicked the cord?

Did you know that China won’t let any other country own pandas. We are only allowed so many panda and they are all on loan.

Lake Waco probably went down a bit ..I let the hot shower hit my back a long time when I came in from working..I stopped working when it started hurting..
It would be wonderful to do it all at once..I am dressed for it..I am all sprayed with “OFF”, the tools are all out..but I just can’t last that long.

Yupper, I guess China is the only county the panda is native to. I remember when Nixon was president, they loaned us a couple of pandas. Caused a big flurry of panda lovers which continues to this day. I do like them a lot.

Those Ben-Gay patches work well for me when I get a backache. They last about 8 hours. They are similar to the “Icy-Hot” patch that Shaq advertises.

Correct. They're "Indian Givers".
Wow, I haven't thought of that term for 40 years!
Seriously, it's because they are so critically endangered.
At the present, there are licensing requirements and a ban on imports. Panda loans, if properly regulated, can be of tremendous benefit to conservation; however, bribes and illegal trade often override regulations.
Above is a snippet from an excellent article from Mandala Projects.

It is not good to push beyond one's endurance, especially with back pain. I want to clean my small kitchen floor, however, mopping just knocks me out. I bend my knees when mopping to take the stress of the small of the back, and nothing seems to work for very long. Some days are better than others for working I think. ;)
Oh a hot shower is sooooo good for back pain. I just lavish in the hot water for as long as it stays hot.
To: Lady Jag
LOL about the term “Indian Givers”. I haven’t heard that term in ages. The “Mandala Projects” made for interesting reading. Thanks.

I was shocked! LOL ..not really but I did feel silly and I put it down as another learning experience..I am trying to keep from trimming off the berries on the Nandina and I get the trimmers in awkward angles trying to go around them..I waited too late to hard trim them back. They were still loaded with red berries and I kept putting it off..Next year I’ll trim by March 1st.
