Sounds wonderful. I am sure they'd tell you, if they could, that they feel lucky to have someone like you. We'd LIKE to get a new dog here but, to be fair to it ('she', probably), we want to hold off until we're certain it will have a stable home life. (We made it to 39 last month, but one never can tell about these things...)

I am sorry the poem had to be that way for you. No sweat, just reminds me a little of the thing some people lovingly refer to as PHSYOPS. Poetry should be artistic, free and flowing and shouldn't provide a path for subliminal suggestion for dissection as if it were a harvested animal.
