CLEVELAND -- A neighbor apparently angry about noisy fireworks shot three people to death early Thursday and wounded two others, police said.
Terrance Hough Jr., a 35-year-old off-duty firefighter, was arrested in connection with the shootings near his home shortly after midnight
The shooter was apparently upset about loud noise from fireworks at a house next door and opened fire, killing two men and a woman, all in their early- to mid-20s, Stacho said. He said another man was shot in the elbow and a woman was wounded in the hand.

There was a cartoon character who’s name escapes me that always said “I can’ts stands noise”.
I thought about doing this at 11:30 last night. Why do people think it is ok to set off explosives in a residential neighborhood in the middle of the night???
What the h*ll is going on in Ohio?
Seems like there’s a psycho story out of Ohio every other day.
Prayers up for these families who apparently were celebrating their lives and liberties.
Well, it was the Fourth. We were blowing stuff up last night until around 10 PM and I was hearing booms until around midnight.
Well, that fixed it!

Off-duty!
I hope he used a silencer.
Maybe the fireman used a silencer on his weapon.

Don't we all expect peace and quiet on the 4th?
This guy would have gone daffy duck in my area.
Sparky the Fire Dog is hanging his head in shame today.
More than that, fireworks are illegal to possess in Cuyahoga county. Obviously this guy’s reaction was WAY over the top, but I share his frustration with these type of people.
I bet they never try that again.
Could a handgun be considered a firework?
3 dead, 2 wounded all because he didn't like firework noise?
This guy had to be at boiling point before this.
He was fighting fire with fire ....
Tried calling the police a couple of years ago - no response.
So much for Law & Order!
10pm sounds very reasonable to me. 11:30-Midnight on ANY night, in the middle of a residential street is incredibly stupid and inconsiderate of neighbors.
I do, too. We went through a series of springs/summers/falls where people used to set off several extremely loud, dangerous fireworks less than fifteen yards from our front door. We could never catch the culprits because they used delay devices to set them off (burning cigarettes), and they would set them in place long before they went off---and the cops could do nothing about it for us. It was so bad that I'm now jumpy whenever I hear fireworks going off.
Zapping the culprits is just a tad extreme, of course, but like I said, I can understand the frustration.
This guy was a loose cannon. If it wasn't fireworks it would have been loud music. Lack of self control makes people do stupid things over minor issues.
One of the things I really love about America is the way its citizens ignore laws against fireworks.
