Al Gore's son, Albert Gore III, has been arrested. Al Gore III was pulled over for speeding Wednesday morning when police discovered drugs in his car.

Al Gore III was pulled over for doing 100 mph when police discovered illegal drugs and several prescription drugs in the vehicle.

Police reportedly found Marijuana, Xanax, Vicodin, Valium, and Adderal in the car.

Al Gore III had a similar run-in with officials back in 2003 when he was sent to rehab after police spotted him driving in freezing cold weather with his sunroof down. Police stopped him and found Marijuana in the car.

The lamestream media is already coming to his aid and making excuses for him, from CBS:

".....The deputies said they smelled marijuana and searched the car, Amormino said. They found less than an ounce of marijuana along with Xanax, Valium, Vicodin and Adderall, which is used for attention deficit disorder, he said....."

Al Gore II will ALWAYS be Al Gore Junior. And yet the media NEVER refered to him as this during the 2000 election. It was always George Bush Jr. which was incorrect as he was not an exact namesake.

Most Prius drivers I see on the roads have very heavy feet.
I can see a Prius going 100mph floored.

If daddy Al had just been sensible enough to apply some global warming to Jr’s a** about fifteen years ago we might not be reading this headline.

Just a thought.

But he was driving a Prius. That should offset the rest.

I read somewhere that the total environmental impact of building a Prius, driving it 100,000 miles, and junking it (the "dust to dust" analysis) exceeds that of building a Hummer, driving it 300,000 miles, and junking it.

More from CNN:

LAGUNA NIGUEL, California (AP) -- Al Gore's son was arrested early Wednesday on suspicion of possessing marijuana and prescription drugs after deputies pulled him over for speeding, authorities say.

Al Gore III Mugshot

In Happier Times...

The Orange County Sheriff's Office has released this mug shot of Al Gore III following his arrest.

Al Gore III, 24, was driving a blue Toyota Prius about 100 mph on the San Diego Freeway when he was pulled over about 2:15 a.m., Sheriff's Department spokesman Jim Amormino said.

The deputies said they smelled marijuana and searched the car, Amormino said. They found less than an ounce of marijuana along with Xanax, Valium, Vicodin and Adderall, which is used for attention deficit disorder, he said.

"He does not have a prescription for any of those drugs," Amormino said.

Gore was released from the men's central jail in Santa Ana after posting $20,000 bail. Amormino said Gore had yet to hire an attorney.

Kalee Kreider, a spokeswomen for his parents, did not immediately return phone messages to The Associated Press on Wednesday.

The son of the former vice president and Democratic presidential nominee also was pulled over and arrested for pot possession in December 2003, in Bethesda, Maryland, while he was a student at Harvard University.

He completed substance abuse counseling as part of a pretrial diversion program to settle those charges.

The youngest of Al and Tipper Gore's four children and their only son, Gore lives in Los Angeles and is an associate publisher of GOOD, a magazine about philanthropy aimed at young people.

--------------------

A few points:

Is Algore III's still on parole for the 2003 Boston infraction? Might he face punishment there as well?

Note that Algore III publishes some BS magazine that nobody reads as a job. Does none of these Bozos work for a living?

This is going to steal some of Algore II's thunder during his stupid concert tour. It really sucks to be Algore today.

How many MPG do you get in a Prius at 100 mph?

I thought that Algore was not actually Albert Gore Jr. because his middle name was “Armand” and his daddy’s was not. There was actually speculation that Armand is his first name. But Algore lied about his name during the campaign because it was embarrassing that he was named after Armand Hammer, the notorious Soviet sympathiser and apologist.

Is Algore III’s middle name also “Armand”?

The story says that the son immediately informed the officers who his daddy is. I guess that didn't work for him this time. I wonder how many times this sick boy has been bailed out of trouble by his parents? As long as he never has to face the consequences for his actions, he'll never get better.

Time for you to start spending some more time with sonny boy, Al.

Wow — I hadn’t heard about any of his recent troubles. Last I heard of was his speeding arrest on the eve of the 2000 Democratic National Convention. Is it just a coinkydink that he pulls these stunts on the eve of his dad’s big events? This is a guy crying for help — but at least his dad will be proud he was driving a Prius.

Sadly, this isn't even close to the same thing. They were underage college kids trying to get a frou frou drink at a restaurant. Tell me what college kid, besides the ones going to BYU, hasn't had alcohol? Gore had at least 4 run-ins with the law as an adult --- and this is the only one that has gotten any serious press coverage.
