Downed U.S. Pilots in Daring Hostile Fire Escape

In a dramatic rescue worthy of any action movie, two Army helicopter pilots shot down south of Baghdad Monday evaded capture by their attackers and then flew to safety, one of them strapped to the side of an Apache helicopter not designed to take additional passengers.

Was he actually sitting on the starboard wing next to the air intake?? Isn’t that a little dangerous to be sitting that close?

It looks like they were on both wings. The first shot shows a person the the starboard wing, then the second soldier dismounts from the port wing on the ground.

IMO-That's pretty ballsy!
