Gran has it down to a routine. Boy, I wish I had a routine. ;)
I didn't take the photo. I'm pretty sure I haven't gotten one quite that colorful. Each fall's color qualities are different depending on the year's weather.
This is a few falls ago in a nearby state park. The colors don't have to be bright as long as the composition and light work.

Not sure if gran has a routine or is just a good planner/organizer. But it seems to work.
I agree, the vivid colors are always eyepopping but I love the play of light, dappled sunlight and shadows, like in your photo.
